Requirements:

- Understanding of balance sheet

- Professional ADP Workforce Now experience

- Understanding of accounting

- Understanding principles of accounting software

- Excellent knowledge of accounts receivable

- Sound experience in depreciation

- Experience with adjusting entries

- Solid grasp of reconciliation

- Excellent knowledge of bank reconciliations

- Sound experience in bank statements

- Sound experience in benefits administration

- Experience with human resources information system (hris)

- Understanding principles of employee handbooks

- Solid grasp of fixed asset

- Proficient with franchise tax

- Good knowledge of fund accounting

- Proficient with generally accepted accounting principles

- Sound experience in garnishment

- Excellent knowledge of general ledger

- Proficient with petty cash

- Excellent knowledge of ledgers (accounting)

- Understanding principles of tax laws

- Familiarity with trial balance

- Good knowledge of payroll liabilities

- Solid understanding of payroll practices

- Solid grasp of statutory reporting

- Familiarity with payroll software

- Solid understanding of employee relations

- Proficient with payroll processing

- Understanding of payroll tax

- Familiarity with payroll systems

- Experience using UltiPro (HRIS Software)

- Solid grasp of automatic data processing software (adp)

- Solid understanding of hrms

- Good knowledge of labor laws

- Understanding principles of HR

Main responsibilities

1. Processing payroll for both exempt and non-exempt employees

2. Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely

3. Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports

4. Understand proper tax treatment and processing requirements for wages and employer paid

benefits

5. Process correct garnishment calculations and compliance



6. Receive and document any necessary approvals prior to processing any non-standard payments

7. Prepares and generates ACA (Affordable Care Act) data and submits to IRS

8. Process accurate and timely year-end reporting (W-2, W-2c, etc.)

9. Work with accounting team to calculate and update any accruals for non-standard payments

10. Process manual checks when needed

11. Update and reconcile statements from ADP

12. Develop ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed

13. Monitors changes and remains current on legal, regulatory or governmental requirements (e.g.,

wage and hour, garnishments, tax matters, 401(k) and other benefit deductions)

14. Oversees the preparation of required reports or payments to government agencies, insurance

companies, or other organizations.

15. Oversees Time & Attendance system setup and time reporting; performing audits as needed

16. Oversees the payroll processing activities for the payroll department, which includes work

allocation, problem resolution and training
