Education Qualification required
Veterinary Microbiology/ Veterinary Public
health or its equivalent
Professionals having
Master degree in Veterinary
Microbiology/Veterinary Public
health/Pathology/ Biochemistry / or its
equivalent
Master’s degree M.V.Sc/MD or MBBS
qualifications in relevant Subject with R&D
experience and published papers
OR
Retired Government employees drawing pay in
the pay band Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade pay of
Rs. 5400/- at the time of retirement and having
at least 20 years’ experience in the required
domain /field
OR
Ph.D in life science or equivalent degree or
having 3 years of research/ teaching and
design and development experience after with
at least one research paper in Science Citation
Indexed (SCI) journal in the relevant research
area.
Research and laboratory skills
1. Laboratory experience in handling
microbial cultures /zoonotic
pathogens
2. Knowledge in molecular
techniques, PCR and serological
technique, etc. for diagnosis of
zoonoses
3. Organizing
training/meetings/workshops and
conducting outreach programme.
3. Proficiency in computer skills
Job description
• Handling zoonotic pathogens

Desirable Experience
• Experience in handling zoonotic
pathogens (Leptospira. JE etc.)

(MAT), Field on-site test etc.

preparing IEC, and conducting
outreach programme.
• Disease mapping (GIS mapping)
